Turbo went BOOM!

Turbo went BOOM!
Anyone know how much HP a RB25DET has with a blown turbo, I dooo! NONE
I was crusing down the autobahn on friday and finaly the road opened up I wound out 3rd gear and shifted into 4th, as I hit boost I hear a pop noise followed by a grind that sounded like a skill saw to the hood. Out of reaction I took car out of gear and just rolled off to the next exit when I put it back in gear I noticed I had movement but no power at all. I first thought I might have blown a gear in my transmision.
Anywho Today I took the turbo off the car and man oh man! I took the air filter pipe off and Oil just poured out, and it didnt stop there. The intercooler piping full of oil resedue, luckly not as far as my intercooler. The fan blades bent ripped and Loose as a goose, I can move it about an 8th if an inch up down and side to side hehehe. Not to menchion I can pull the shaft a 1/4 inch forward, I dont know it there is any hope of rebuilding this little guy.

professionally maybe, but sounds to be to damaged for an at home rebuild. next time something terrible sounding happens i would suggest shutting off the motor immediately while you roll off to the side to be safe. you should probably just upgrade though. also i hope you didnt drive the car. if the turbo blew that bad where oil poured out, means your loosing oil quickly. bad bad bad...

Ya it was bad, but I wasnt loosing oil it was pretty much contained with in the turbo, I lost some through the exausht but I wasnt burning and it wasnt making it in to the combustion chamber, No smoke or anything, still runs great with the turbo off HAHA! its just loud as heck!
I have one that we blew the oil seals out of.

is the turbo on wheels yet ahahaha! gonna take like 3 weeks to get to me, this mail is moving slow latly, I ordered some Audio equipment for my BORA and its been like 3 weeks and nothing. we have had good weather and I get a tear in my eye everytime I see the beast just sitting there powerless
