Running Rich - can't fix it!

Okay I have an 82 280zx n/a..

I'm running very rich, there is black residue all over my rear bumper.. I've replaced the temp sensor that screws into the side of the engine next the spark plugs... I've heard there is an water temp sensor that is right next to the distributor and radiator hose.. would that most likely be the problem? What other things should I check.. the gas mileage is killin me..

Check your O2 sensor, fuel pressure, and your basic tune up. Most likely the first two. That was my problem.

Yup, and what he means by fuel pressure is to test it or just replace the fuel pressure regulator. Both the o2 sensor and pressure regulator run about $30-40 each.
