running rich!!!
hey guys, well i got my brakes fixed, i didnt tost the calipers thank god, anyways, now my car is running extreamly rich, and it is misfiring and bogging in low rpms, now, i have no clue wat is wrong with it. my dad thinks it could b a bad air fuel mixtur, he thinks its getting too much fuel , but if it is then how do i adjust that? to make it more of an even air fuel mixture. or wat should it even b at, also could my cap and rotor possible b apart of it? ive got brand new plugs and wires in it so i know its not them. and the tach needle jumps alot, when im at a stop light, it will just jump around unless i rev it. any answers will help greatly thanks guys

Don't mess with the air/fuel mixture!!!
Sounds like you have a misfiring cylinder which is causing a build up of unburnt fuel. Check and make sure all your plugs are gapped correctly, plug wires are good and yes, cap and rotor is a good idea too. Otherwise, you could have a leaking fuel injector or cold start valve. Check the other stuff first though.

{tach problem}
check the gaps on your dissyes stator...on a 81 they should be no more then 00.12mm ...if they get bigger than that then you start loseing spark ...
this can also make your tach jumpy
{fuel problem}
o2 sensor ...afm...... air regulator...head temp sensor ..and TPS ..
all of these seem to each tell the ecu how much fuel to make the injectors
add .... if one of these is just a little off.... the ecu may tell the injectors to add more or less fuel depending on the reading that the {bad}sensor is sending the ecu..thermo time switch tells the ecu to turn off the cold start injector..
the coolant temp sensor is just that
hope this helps .....
