I have an unusual reqest. I have an '82 Patrol Hardtop. It has an L28 motor. I was wondering anyine can offer advice on how to get more low torque for less money. I have had offers of turbos but also heard horror stories too. I need the mods to be hardy and easily fix if the breakdown a long way from civilisation.

Any thoughts.

N42 head
OE Hitachi carb.
standard manifords and exhaust.

If replacement engine, any sugegestions on what nissan motors can bolt straight onto the L28 bell housing?
