differences btwn auto/5 sp.
hey guys...I know, it's been like a week without a stupid question from me, and I'm sure you guys missed it, but I'm back! haha, ok, onto the question...
I know about the basic differences between the auto and manual twin turbo z's (something about the cam timing, or turbos...?) but I was wondering if there were any differences, beside the actual tranny's, between the n/a manual models and the n/a auto models. The reason why I ask is that for the past couple months I've seen a local z advertising an excellent exterior, but it's an auto, and has "minor engine damage" for a whopping $2400. depending on what extent the engine damage is (I have yet to see the car), I'd love to jump on it. The only thing that's holding me back is that I don't want to hook up a 5 sp. to a less agressive engine. TT's saw like a 20 hp decrease in power stock, is there anything like that for n/a models?
thanks in advance

The only difference between the n/a auto and manual is the ECU.
The 20hp difference between the tt manual and auto was the fact that the camshaft profiles were different.
In case some of you don't know, the reason that a U.S.D.M. tt engine is preferable over a J.D.M. engine is that the J.D.M. engine uses the automatic trans cam profiles regardless of tranny option.
