Act Clutch!
Ok , installed my ACT clutch and When i first got in the car to drive it home, it was Hard. i even jerked a few times and stopped 1ce. i got used to it and it was Very fun to drive,....Now 1-2 weeks later, it feels liek the same old clutch i had before...it bugs me that the hard stiff feeling of the clutch when u shift gears is gone..Does this mean, THE ACT clutch is going?..please if anyone can contact me and get with me on this, let me know what is happening, anyone thats experienced from going from Stock Clutch to ACT on there 90-96 ZXs...because at first i can really feel the power when i was shifting gears and i was bragging to my friends that my car is a WHOLE NEW POWER MACHINE. lol now a few weekslater. im in worries again because the clutch is not hard or stiff anymore and it feels just like the old clutch before it got messed up...get back asap.thanks
Is it slipping or just feels different on your left foot?
Did you remember to take it easy for the first 500 miles or so?
There is a break in period for a new clutch. But it sounds like the pressure plate is breaking in to me. If you don't have a deteoration of performance and it's still holding power, why the concern? Otherwise check your clutch fluid level and see if maybe you have a leak.

Well bad news..My clutch is gone all messed up again and its revving up too much when i shift gears and accelrate and its becoming difficult to push......just happened today when i was coming back fro work..I dont understand, I got the WHOLE NEW CLUTCH KIT from STILLEN-ACT.. as for taken it easy, maybe i tried to test the power now and then. lol is that wrong?..how was i suppose to tak it easy?..by shifting slowly.. it was hard for me to shift because everything i was at 1 and needed to get the car moving, i always had a problems and it always reved up and i never let go untill the clutch felt like it was GIVING, for me to shift to second.and etc for the 2nd and 3rd gears too at times.. i have to go back to nissan, but what might be the problem?IS IT THE ACT? IS IT ****ED UP ALREADY AT 150 miles?
Is it the dealer who installed it for you?
Taking it easy means, no clutch drops=no drag racing, easy speeds, and smooth engagements. If your pedal feel went from hard to easy to hard again, sounds like something was messed up during the installation. So, you should have whoever installed it look at it.
I hope for you that you didn't mess up a perfectly good brand-new clutch. Why in the world are you buying anything from Stealin' anyway? It's not like we haven't posted enough online retailers on this forum for you to choose from. Some more research might have saved you some more money.

Just found out that one of my problems is that the clutch is STICKING,,,meaning when i press it down. it locks in and it wont come up. u have to go under and push it back out....Dammmn This **** is gonna be ****ed up if nissan dont warantee it andnot fix it.
Hey badboyZ2NV,
Have you tried what Rizz advised you earlier on? If your clutch is "sticking," it definitely sounds like a lack of clutch fluid (DOT3), or you may need to check your master or slave clutch cylinders. Similar problem with my Z a few months back, and my friend has that problem with his MR2 now...let us know what you find out.

PROBLEM FOUND
My clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder is blown. so im guessing that when they put my act clutch in, the mechanic didnt bleed the clutch..and just put the clutch in. so now they chargeme 40.00 to look it up and they cant fix it for free, so i took my car and my *** out of there in a heartbeat. now i got a friend who i met over this weekend and he has a rx 7 and he is willing to help me out and install the master cylinder for me this weekend.he told me to go to autozone parts store and just get the Rebuilt Kit and save alot of money instead of paying 50.00 for the BRAND NEW master cylinder and as for the slave cylinder, he told me not to worry about it. main problem is the master cylinder and he says he usually takes 45-1 hour to fix while nissan was about to rip me a NEW ******* for about 450.00 tell me what u guys think. thanks
