Got a 86 NA with an auto tranny. When driving normally, the 1-2 shift is happening way too early, like at 15-20 mph unless I floor it. 2-3 shift is normal. Shifts are firm and I don't have any other problems with the tranny. Is the shift point controlled by vacuum modulation on this thing or is it controlled some other way? I only have a Haynes manual so I'm short on technical details.

Well, it's an automatic so when it shifts, it's going into 2nd about 2 seconds after I take off regardless of throttle position unless it's close to or almost floored. I was a little off on my speed estimate in my last post, it's more like 10 to 15mph.
