early 260 vs. late 260
How do you tell the difference between early 260 vs. late 260? Was does this really mean anyways? Both models were made in 1974, right? Are both models 2+2?
I have no idea.
Sorry! maybe some of these questions are pretty stupid, but bare with me, I am new to the world of Zs!!! & I'm glad to be here!
thanks yall'

Re: early 260 vs. late 260
I'm not an expert on this subject by far, but I can give you a couple of pointers to head you in the right direction.
The early 260's had the skinny bumper, the later ones had the big honkin huge one, and the 2+2 is a really rare thing to find, not the norm at all.
I hope that's a good start for you =)

Well this may confuse you. You see in Australia everything is different but there are main differences in years when it comes to the 260z here. Ok most noticeable is the bonnet vents they came with the series 2 which here is called the 77' model, You'll also notice that the guages look different on the later 260z fatter font was used. The early 260z's didn't have hazards or choke warning light but later ones did in the centre console as well as a brake light above the heater vents. As for Bumpers I'm not sure there wasn't any bulky bumpers here because we didn't get the same laws.
Anyway I can't think of anything else for the moment but you can learn alot about Z's at www.zhome.com they have everything from racing history to original colors and scheme's it's where I learnt all about them.
Good Luck.
