... I have a 1986 non-turbo 300ZX. After turniing off the car, something continues to run - seems to be from the right side of the engine for about 15 to 20 minutes after shutdown. The fan is not runnung - but sounds like a pump or small fan. Reviewed Haynes manual tonight and will investigate
tomorrow - but any info would be helpful.

injector or intake manifold cooling fan. no big deal.

most people remove it completely.
