I've been looking for a parts car for sometime now but I could never find a turbo. But today I lucked out. Pick it up for $700. Its an 82 280zxt 2+2 auto trans. But now that I looked at it and drove it home I don't know if I want to part it out or not. What do you guys think? This is the only other turbo 280zx that I've seen around NV besides mine. It drives good, runs good but has lack of power. Nothing a good tune up and a little work shouldn't fix. The bad is that I don't like the 2+2, it has one good dent on the driver side rear frender, auto trans, and radiator leaks. So should I part it or fix it? If I part it out what parts are you guys looking for and how much? Trying to see if it would be worth parting out.

That Z looks to be in great shape! Why part it out? Fix it up and sell it if you don't want it.

Also I don't think I've ever seen a factory Turbo 2+2...

 

i almost bought one a 2+2 5 speed turbo with 59K in the odometer and a P90a head it was so clean but i was doing bad on cash and didn't want a 2+2 and it was salvage title. but yeah you should keep it but if you do part it out i would like the turbo emblem the one from the back.

 

part it out and sell me the dash if its not cracked.. lol

That car looks way too nice to be relegated to a parts car IMO. I vote for fix it up and sell it!

If it have a clean title then yes make here run good,it will be a very good investment.

 

The title is clean, the boby has no rust but has that huge dent on the driver rear frender that you can see in the pic. My girlfriend was asking about it but she thought it was a 5 speed. But I still might let her drive it. I don't know yet. And about the parts the dash has a small crack and tape all over it so I don't think you want it and I have a turbo emblem off my car that Ill sell you just have to find it.

 

i want parts lol...i need good condition fenders and a hood...badly... lol especially fenders...mine are both toast..rust.....its a motha...well u know. also need rr quater panel...floor pan, cheap head set....ya a lot...well good buy bro. i guess i missed out. i tried to get the cash but payday for my wife and i came a little too late.

Once I decide to part it out then everything will be for sale in the marketplace. Hopefully I will decide in the next couple of weeks.
