Are you checking the torrent sites? All the major ones should have it if the DVD has been out for a while. I'd search for you but torrent sites are blocked at my work...

Yeah, torrents are pretty much the only way to download big files these days. Download the program uTorrent, then search for

"season 1 Sons of Anarchy torrent" or something similar in google. You download the small tracker file & drag it into your uTorrent window. It will start to download as long as there are active seeders (people sharing the file). Read the reviews on the torrent before downloading because some files can be fakes. I also suggest keeping your AV up to date and use Peer Guardian.

DL was successful but now all i get is audio with no video. Stupid new file types. Whats the deal? It is listed as

Sons.of.Anarchy.S01E13.The.Revelator.HDTV.XviD-FQM

I think its just an AVI video file. Should not be anything special, right? Winamp, Windows media, quicktime. . .nothing plays the video!!

You need to update your Codec pack. Download the K-Lite codec pack (google it).

Also Media Player Classic (not to be confused w/ ishy "Windows Media Player") is a good player & not bloated with crappy useless extras.

Wow. Never thought i would be saying this but thanks Snw. VLC seems to work best. And i can convert audio files which is very handy.

You still suck though. Dont let it go to your head.

haha... no problem!

it also has a feature to switch audio tracks in case sound isn't working usually there will be an option to select a different track and it magically works and if you ever get one of those DL's where the audio doesn't synch perfectly with the video there are hot keys you can hit to speed up or slow down the audio track and synch it. but for the most part it also will auto synch. its a pretty awesome program...
