Welcome to ZDriver!!!

#1... 280zx's don't have webers.
#2... yes, people have used a turbocharger w/ webers... check out the book MAXIMUM BOOST.
#3... Search... there's lots of info about all this. We have lots of threads on max psi for the motor. But the quick answer: On a bone stock motor, 10psi is about as much as you should go.

Ah... that's an S30 (70-78 240z-280z) not an S130 (79-83 280zx). Pretty sweet!

Turbocharging a carbed motor is a PITA to tune. If you want to turbocharge your engine, you're better off going efi.

dont like, dont like at all. your doing great work, just dont like. go EFI you'll never ever make the same power and that kit, idk, maybe with rims and paint it'll come together but right now it looks kinda cheesey

thanx everybody

thanx everybody for ur comments and for you mr. "snwbrderphat 540"
its not a kit its handlaid fiberglass and gelcoat this car belongs to
a friend of mine it who started on it back in 1979 and worked on it on and off every since, over the years he got screwed over by alot of mechanics say they could make it run and thats why its been sittinn so long in the corner of the shop and i told him i would make it run and mark my words it will. i know
that efi is nite and day far as performce ive installed many efi systems for my customers and if this car was mine thats what i would do but so many people
has told my friend it cant be done and i know thats a bunch of bs. how many
280s have tripple duces thats turbocharged and intercooled? the point being
this is a one off car and i want engine to be the same and yes its going to get
a nice paint job and interior and as for those wheels they were bought before
you were born so of course its going to get new ones. so rather you telling me what you dont like, how bout giving me some pointers on how to make this
280 a nice automobile or r u just a hater? will see

i don't think he was being a "hater". he complimented the work, just stated that it's not his taste. not everyone is going love everything ever made. at least he was civil about stating his opinion, which is unfortunately becoming a rarity these days.

thank you. im not being a hater, im complimenting the work just saying as it sits in the pics, im not sure about it. to many custom kits thats ruin the car imho but mani piece together well. i never thought for a second those were the wheels you were going to use either i stated again the way it sits now. it can be done and has been done and is being done ive been watching a guy do the same motor setup as you are doing over on hybridZ and funny thing is the concept for it was been around for a while in japanese manga and cartoons known as the devil Z on wangan. for the price of those triples a standalon could have been done. but its cool to see a triple blow through turbo setup just could be riskey. no one on here has it done so advice is going to be limited.

i dig the wide body, its something different i just dont care for the rear. overall it looks great. webers by themselves are a pita to tune so you will have handful trying to turbocharge them.
