lately, i've been hearing a slight gurgling sound from the front of my car...from reading the faq over at tt.net, i would assume it was the aiv, but my car's an NA. anyone have any idea what it could be? thanks.

NA's also have AIV's, and yes, that is your problem.

Where is the AIV and how much does it cost to replace? Is it a difficult job to do yourself? I called the dealership and asked them for an AIV and they didn't know what the hell I was talking about. Is there a different name for it besides air intake valve? The dealership said that there are several different air intake valves and didn' t know what to tell me.

i had the same problem with mine,and i think it's coming from the inside of driver side fender,anyone know how to tell if it's bad,and how much to replace it,thanx!
