im thinking of just cutting the springs on my 85 300zx na instead of buying lowering springs because i dont have that much money to do that, so what i need help on is how low should i go, i want my car to be slammed but i dont want the wheels to rub when i hit a bump or while turning if i cant find a spring compresor could i just jack the car up and cut the springs while they are still on the car? thanks.

I really don't think it would be a good idea to cut the springs while they are still on the car. Just a thought.
