Hey guys, whats going on? dont know if anyone remembers me, but i used to be around these boards a couple years ago.... i used to have a 91 300zx TT. I ended up flipping it

i have since become the owner of a 2000 Audi S4. if you guys arent familier with these cars, its basically audis version of the Z its a twin turbo 2.7 liter that puts out 250 stock... needless to say,i bought mine stock, but its no longer stock... right now i have a bunch of mods, anyway, enough w/ the S4, i know you guys dont really care, haha..

anyway, just wanted to stop back and say hi to everyone, hopefully you guys are having better luck w/ your Z's than i did.

yeah them s4's are clean, what do they run and what not. i haven't seen many of them around up here....damn this wack *** state. And you wrecked a z...for shame. lol

 

haha, i know i know, it was my bad wreckin the Z, i was pissed when i flipped it...

the S isnt so much a 1/4 mile car as it is a highway car.... it pulls like crazy on the highway.. currently im running GIAC X software, downpipes, UUC VM1 catback, MBC at 18 psi, a K & N filter, and an upgraded clutch... thats about it for mods, and its somewhere around 380hp and around 420torque.... this of course is at the flywheel... im going to be running some bigger turbos in the next month or so hopefully, so i should be runnin alot more horsepower and torque, haha, i cant wait.... we put the same turbos in my buddies S4, and its rediculious.... overall, im very impressed with my S4, its very comfortable to drive around in daily, but its pretty fast when i want it to be, haha... definetly way faster than my Z, but it doesn't touch my Z in handeling... my Z will out handle my S4 any day, and thats with the Z on stock suspension, and my S4 on upgraded (koni adjustable / H & R springs)... plus there is nothing like rear wheel drive.... its so much fun.... im gonna just wait it out a couple years,and buy another TT Z and have my S4 also... my Z will be my fun/weekend car, and my S will be the daily driver.... no bad cosidering its going to be 550 hp in a month or 2, haha.... anyway, i have to run, i have to install a satellite radio.... talk to you later guys

 

hmm, thats cool, i know what you mean wrecking a z, i haven't...well infiniti's don't count do they? i guess they do, since it has the vg motor...damn it. Dam that car sounds beefy, i'm going to have to look into them. How's there realibility and what are they priced at...sorry i'm lazy and don't feel like searching .lol. And yes rwd is very fun..also i'm looking into a s130 with a vgtt, but i've got to find a vg30dett...hmm . maybe even a awd? i'm gonna look into that.

 

haha, i picked mine up 2 years ago w/ 42,xxx miles for 19grand, i got an awesome deal at the time... right now they go for around 18k w/ about 70k on the clock... the reliability is outrageious on them.. My car will actually be more reliable after i do the turbo upgrade... the turbos im putting in ar K04's, they are factory turbos from the RS4 in europe. ill be running 460hp on a daily basis, and when i put it in race program, which runs 100 octane, it advances the timing and ups the boost, which runs about 550hp. Maintaining the car is a little more expensive, but if you do it all yourself, its not too bad. i would definetly reccoment buying an S4, very fun, fast, family sedan :-D i would love to have another Z tho, haha

 

how does a Z flip?????? they should have like a zero percent roll chance for being wide and low... did you like roll it into a ditch? or what????

 

lol... lets just say i did 90 around a 25.... or tired at least... the back end kicked out... i turned into it and punched it, the car over corrected, and the back tire folded... the road started to curve again, and the front tire hit the hill on the side, it kicked the whole car sideways, and pulled me up the hill, while i was still sliding... the rim w/ the flat hit the dirt, and it was game over.... it was a shitty night, haha... i mean, thats the most fun i ever had in my Z, until i flipped obviously.... anyway, have to make the best of everything, so these people saw me flip it, they were freaking out, im like... im fine, nobody was with me... they were all over (60's or so) one lady was like, thank god you alive... then this really cute girl comes up the hill in her Bimmer.... she freaked out, i was like, dont worry , its mine, im ok.... so she was like alright, so i asked her if she could take me to the bottom of the hill so my cell phone had service, and i could call the cops, and call home, ect.... so she said sure.... so i go to one of the people who stopped.... cant you just make sure nobody takes off in my car(keep in mind its laying upside down on the side of the road) haha, they all started laughing... **** happends, you have to make the best of it, and thats what i was trying to do.... i was luck, made out with a little scrach.... but my Z will never see another day on the road =(

but anyway, the moral of the story.... do try to go 90 around a 25, you wont make it

 

i hope you got her # if she gave you the ride... OR ELSE!!! lol. and thank go there was no one with you other wise i think they mightve gotten a little shorter looking at teh way the passenger side T top section collapsed.

 

haha... never got her number... sombody else actually called, and i ended up using their phone to call my house.... i already had a girl i was pursuing at the time, and i ended up dating her for a year and half... talk about a waste of time and money tho, hha.... you know how fast my S would be if i didnt go out w/ her? haha, and not to mention all the bullshit i wouldnt have had to put up with... but hey, people change with time, and it was a good experience i guess, haha... the girl im goin after now is way better looking anway, and way more down to earth... plus shes a major cutie :-D so we'll see what happens with this, haha... not to mention... she gave me her number

wish i could afford an S4 tho. found a modded one with 74k for 15k on another forum. seems a little too good to be true tho.

dude... dont get a GTI... or an audi for that matter... lol... audi is nice. but only if your gonna drop the money for teh nice ones.. otherwise there bottom line cars are crappy... GTI has been crappy for a long time now... if you got that kind of money find a used subaru WRX they are getting very affordable now. or think of somethign more original... IS300??? think man THINK!!!!

 

IS300s arent ****. WRXs are everywhere...and imo not as nice looking.
GTIs have come a long way, and the new ones are awesome(minus the rear). my roomate has a 20th AE MK4 GTI, and i love it. he was able to beat me sometimes in my n/a with just an intake. now he has dp/cutout, ecu, nj75 and a few other small things, and that rabbit moves fast as hell. ive been surprised many times at the cars hes been able to beat.

ofc, i wont be getting a stock GTI. im likin this one right here. needs the 20th AE interior tho and side mount intercooler

the GTI is heavy. and ugly.. ever see the car and driver ad Top Gear and that **** featuring the GTi.... they all hated it.. lol. this chik i know has one... and its not that fun i must say... now she wants an evo or GTo... and is leaning towards GTO... so she is gonna be an even bigger dumbass when she gets one but w/e. and the WRX has changed so much that you have to like at least one of the stylings... IS300 is a nice car... i like it. guy in town has one with a turbo set up... thing is a beast... know what.. heres a better idea... get a good TT Z or soem sort of Z. you got the money for that **** you can afford whatever Z you want...

 

i have neither the money or approval for a TTZ. i unfortunately have to wait a few more years before getting another one. cant get an older z, cuz it would become a project car.
my other roomate has an 04 GTO. exteriors not my fav, but love everything else..esp the cam and cutouts
but, its all opinion, so hopefully ill find something i like and maybe be happy with it, but i am still searching for new ideas.

Welcome back Dan....it's been a long time. Sorry to hear you never replaced the Z. I remember the pictures of your flipped Z. The S4's are nice...a friend of mine has one. Gotta love the AWD. You probably save a bit on insurance also.

 

didn't feel liek reading the whoel post, but S4's are nice, but too bad they SUXOR's handeling, i totally smoked a 400hp one going down this big curvy hill, then we got to the bottom and I couldn't see him anymore he was so far in front of me... lol

btw, any old parts from your Z to part out?

 

haha. dont worry about it guys... no big deal on the thread jack, but just dont let it happen again :-P haha... i actually have 2 parts left, lol... i have an HKS Turbo Timer harness and i have an a-pillar gauge pod that is made for the Z and covers the entire factory a pillar... it actually looked really good in my Z for the 2 weeks it was there, haha... if anyones interested, email me, ill let them go pretty cheap considering i dont have my Z anymore. haha preludedan18@yahoo.com is my email address..

91, thanks for the welcome back buddy, i remember all your posts, ive learned alot from you, alot more thank you probably know, haha... i used to go through and read all your posts.... your a pretty knowledgeable dude.... i remember something about a body shop messing up your car or something... did you ever get that straitened out?

ill try to take some more pics for you guys.... my buddy and i wanted to take some pics anyway.... let me see if i can come up with some, and ill post a couple back here in like 10 min so you guys can get some more pics of the car.... hopefully ill be posting up pics of a Z in a year or so, haha.... we'll see how it go's, im trying to move to cali, so we'll see, haha

 

thats actually a pretty decent deal.... that sounds about right for the mods that the car has.... the chip, & exhaust are lower quality, so the resale on the car is a little lower.... if you go with an S4, i would recommend the GIAC X chip with a MBC & TCD (throttle cut defeat).... this is currently what im running.. if you guys want any info on the S4, i can help you out w/ pretty much anything.... ive done 2 turbo upgrades @ 50 hours a job, haha.... 50 friggin hours to put 2 turbos in.... but its well worth it... you guys know, when you put 2 turbos in the Z32, its even faster than the S4 w/ the turbo upgrade.... out of control... im getting depressed thinking of what my Z would be today if i didnt wrec it... especially seeing how much ive spent on my S, haha

haha, i wasent getting gas... we were stopping by there to take pics... it was 3 am in that pic, and there was no parking lots or anything illuminated to take pics, so that was the next best place, haha.... i usually go with Mobil 93.... i was pissed that nigh too, haha, i was washing my car at 130am to take those pics, and the water was freezing on it =( im not looking forward to winter at all

 

in the winter i shut my garage... well i crack it ... plug up a hose to my laundry room sink and use warm water.. it heats up the garage fast and i dotn freeze from cold water or cold car... its a good deal.
