November Meeting Minutes
Meeting Minutes for Tuesday, November 14, 2006
Christmas Party, Saturday, December 9—6:00 pm
We were not able to get the facility we have used the past 3 years so Walt Halbig has graciously offered to let us come to his house in Anderson, SC.
-The club will provide food. A donation of $5 is requested to help cover the cost of food and the party, but it is at your discretion. Also, please feel free to bring a dish.
-We will collect new, unwrapped toys for the Toys-For-Tots charity if you want to bring one.
-If you wish to participate in the Dirty Santa gift exchange, please bring a wrapped $10 gift.
Dirty Santa works like this: All gifts go under the tree. Everybody draws a number.
Person #1 gets a gift from under the tree. Person #2 can choose a gift from under the tree or they can take Person #1’s gift. #1 gets another gift from under the tree, but they can’t take back their gift on this turn from #2. #3 can choose a gift from under the tree or from #1 or #2. Once a gift has been taken 3 times, it is frozen. This continues until all gifts are opened and all participants have a gift.
Thomas Higganbotham will send an email requesting members RSVP so we can get an accurate headcount.
Directions to Walt’s house will be emailed also.
I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance!
November Dyno Day Postponed
-Due to low pre-commitments, our Dyno Day for November had to be postponed. We are looking at Saturdays in February 2007 as alternate dates.
-For simplicity, it was decided at the meeting that the club would write one check to the Dyno Facility and members would pay the club for their portion of the Dyno runs.
-It was discussed that the club would pay ½ the cost and the members would pay the other half. This point will be finalized at a future meeting.
The McRib is back for a limited time!!!
ZDayZ Sponsorship 2007
The club voted unanimously to pay $100 to ZDayZ for sponsorship of the 2007 event.
Bryan Cook said his work schedule had changed and he was now able to resume his post as club Secretary. The club voted and agreed.
By-Laws and Constitution Amendment Proposed
The issue was raised whether liability exists for the club with regard to minors being club members and participating in club events with or without parent/guardian participation or consent. Several options were discussed and it was decided that options would be researched. Amendments will be drafted and reviewed by the officers. Final proposals will be presented at a future meeting for vote to amend the by-laws and/or constitution.

Thanks for the update, was unable to make the meeting as I had to work. Party at Walt's? Sounds great. ZDAYZ's vote, I sent my vote along with Josh and it was to again sponsor the event.

Hey Jim, I raised both hands for us! Looks Good Brian! I am soo glad to hear that the McRib is back!
As for the Christmas Party Mel and I will Be there. Thomas I am not really concerned that you saved money on your car insurance. It dosen't help me out at all.
