Crank Pulley
Crank Pulley
Novice looking for some help, The crank pulley on my L28 won't stay tight and it comes loose after 5 minutes of ideling. The assembly came apart completely while driving and the only parts that I can find to re-tighten, are the crank pulley bolt and washer
What parts am I missing?
What holds the pulley to the crank and prevents slipping?
Torque specs?

My guess is that I haven't been getting it tight enough, as it isn't stripped. I just want to make sure that I'm not leaving something out of the equation. I'm guessing that a product like loc tite is a bad idea and that I should just work to tighten the bolt further?
Theres nothing wrong with using loctite on the pulley bolt. But if you cant get the pulley to stay on without it then I wouldn't rely on the loctite to keep it on. It's just a bandaide in that situation as opposed to serving as extra security like it's meant to.
dont forget the large washer that goes on there too, if its missing, it may come loose. and torque is a big help in keeping the bolt in, it is quite tight and kinda hard to get with the stock fan/shroud in place
