First 300zx - Toss some knowledge

I just got my first 300zx. It's and '84 2+2. It's in great shape and runs very good, and I do believe I am in love. Just from reading your posts I have learned a lot and found a lot for the engine. I do have some questions though. (Don't get offeneded by ignorant questions.)
1. Is the VG30E engine a worthy engine for heavy mods?
(I have noticed the same engine is in a lot of basic Nissan vehicles.)
2. Where can I find (other than junkyard) interior replacement?
(Have some busted pieces, and besides, the maroon color justs gets me
so giddy I can barely drive, would like to replace with charcoal.)
3. Is going to turbo on a N/A model difficult, or should I swap engine?

Any information at all would be great, as big plans are already underway.
Thanks.

Correction: It's a 2-Seater. Someone was saying something about 2+2 when I was posting. (I told you there would be a little bit of ignorance.) I hate newbs...

1) There aren't many performance parts for VG30E
2) Interior Replacement: www.motorsportauto.com (best place to find any part)
3) Motor Swap to OEM Turbo is ALWAYS easier than converting!

also, watch out for those OEM fuel injectors, as they were a recall item

alot of mods on z31's are taken from other cars or you have to be pretty creative and the guys who started tuning 300's seem to be very curious and lots of testing sorta guys...youll see what i mean when searching for mods lol but unfortunately....simply put the n/a isnt worth modding...just keep it clean, super clean switch out the exhaust and intake filter for better flowing performance units....if you have money go for some bigger mods...the fuel is fine for a little power the ign. is fine... if you have money to through grap some cams, jwt ecu....some of the good stuff otherwise make sure everything runs well in the first place...besides that dont worry about stacking power on... Swapping interior is great start..i hate the maroon too...either what she said or check out some parts cars around this site and others and grab some charcoal parts.. and as for turbo im not entirely sure on the process of this swap....i dont think it could be all THAT bad...but you shoulda gone for the turbo in the first place...dont worry i made this mistake as well lol
