n42 head vs p79 head?

i have a 1978 280z,f54 block i have both heads i want to have p79 shaved 1.00"to raise compression.I've heard so much about heads .the n42 bolts right on 10+ cr but pings.please give me some help.

you dont want to get rid of that n42 do you? i am looking for one to rebuild and install. please let me know.
