i have known about the r-35 gtr for over a year now there is a picture of it in myspace web site the asking american price was said to be 80,000 dollars... now if ever one hear at zdriver wants to own one why dont we win the lottery !!! ill pitch in 200 dollars on the next powerball jackpot worth over 100,000,000 dollars only im not joking people !!! p.s. the R-35 Gtr Skyline will blow the socks off any car and yes even that car i despise !!!! toyota supra !!! take tha TOYOTA !!
ACtually, as it stands, the R35 GTR isn't blowing the doors off of ANY car with atleast some form propulsion
Until we KNOW what engine/drivetrain that thing is going to have or even what it's power output is going to be it's not the safest thing to say it's going to blow the doors off of anything. It's going to have some stiff competition if it really is going to base at $80,000. But who buys a basic model with no options? If $80,000 is starting then your average GTR is probably going to run more like $85-$90,000. It's going to be running with cars like Z06 and Viper. Thats some stiff competition. The Supra was no where even close to that price range and it still managed to hang with the more expensive GTR's of past.
Alls I'm saying is if Nissan/Infinity are planning on charging that much for that car then it better be one hell of a ride. A name plate is not enough to impress the masses of an american culture who's not all too familiar with a Japanese sports car that has only recently been introduced to our shores. And rich people like Ferraris
. I dont know that the Skyline will last all to long at that price unless it can beat the socks off anything even close to it's price range.
That is of course considering your price information is accurate.
Oh and news of the R35 is indeed old. But the fact that it is OFFICIALLY coming to america is not a year old. It's only been RUMORED, all be it strongly, up to this point. And the design, while roughly still the same, has been constantly updated. The picture shown above is not the same as the first R35 renderings released so long ago.
