Nissan Azeal: The Baby Z
Nissan Azeal: The Baby Z
I saw this on an autoshow show on TV last night. I was wondering if anyone else knew anything about it? Looks like a pretty nice car for a "budget" car. Too bad its FWD....

oh, yeah... I saw this is Sport Compact last month... Supposedly an alternative to the Sentra. Sentra's are going more like lowerlevel altima's, and this is the cheap sporty one for Nissan. Turbo'ed 4 banger. I think it looks cool inside... IMO, looks like one of those newer civic hatchbacks with the shift coming out of the dash. Those things are hard to get used to.. I feel like every time i shift, I am reaching to change the radio station.
Heh...hey guys....um....i sorta...um...like it....I am kinda into the whole silvia thing, and think that looks OK (it looks at least somewhat similar to the S15 as opposed to the R34 and R35 relationship) I think w/ a kit, that car could look really aggressive, of course its gonna look fugly stock.EDIT: What is an SR20VET...it says 4 DOHC, tell me it isnt gonna be a V6, that would be just one step forward and two steps back, I guess I could google it, but i'm too lazy.

The SR20VET has been around for a little while (i googled it myself!)
heres some info from: http://www.nissan-global.com/GCC/Jap...001019_0e.html
"The turbocharged GT model, scheduled for release in February 2001, is
powered by the newly developed SR20VET engine. This 2.0-liter 4-cylinder
engine is the world's first turbocharged engine to incorporate a variable
valve lift and timing (VVL) system, enabling it to generate 280 PS (206 kW)
of power for exhilarating acceleration. In addition, torque output in the
low to medium speed ranges has also been increased for improved driveability
in urban areas as well."
also added another pic:
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Sylvias!! I think this one looks awesome. I'm not a fan of the pic I just added, due to it looking like something out of DUB Magazine... but nonetheless, this is going to be a sweet car.
i think they need to fill that void in thier line-up...but im just kinda sad that thier original competition was the SRT-4, the WRX, and the Cobalt SS...now they got rid of the idea of trying to beat the neon...and the interior better change or everybody is gonna make fun of them for stealing the SI's shifter and overall ugly styling ques.
lol
you actually think that's gonna make it over to the states in that form?
you need to review your Nissan history a bit, no nissans save for the Z's ever made it stateside with a turbo for our market.

And I still don't care for the front wheel drive.
