if you like replacing timing belts, injectors and electrical tidbits ever 1k miles and like pulling motors to replace turbo's. even a ford is more reliable then them.

if you like to hold it at red line for hours at a time maybe. but for the rest of us reasonable drivers that can take advantage of the good performance but allow the engine to last a while at the same time, it's a great car. and a great engine.

the injectors and coil packs where out before i bought (which explain the 14mpg) the timing belt, valves, brakes, tires, trans, driveshaft and converter where all me though.

What does this have to do with anything? There are a lot of turbo cars being sold. If you're trying to say it can't be done, you'd be very wrong.

Ummm, although I'm by no means wealthy, there are people around here who buy very expensive exotic cars every few years, and they only drive them in the summer, since we have nasty winters here. There is definitely a market.

And why can't it be as fast or faster than a GTR? They're two entirely different cars. Does a turbo OPTION kill the market of any other turbo cars of a different model? Not really.

im not arguing this anymore, everyone is to narrow minded to look past the Z homo classic love and into proper research and development and the companies plans. its a stupid idea for them as of right now. if it wasn't they would offer a turbo option. end of story. get over it. turbo charged cars after the mid 90's was no longer sensible as to why they all died off, to expensive and bad on gas and the environment for the most part. lately though in the mid 2000's turbochargers have started making a comback. but most of those vehicles use an engine thats as old as time itself. so its affordable by the company. the only new motors that have come out and are turbo (not from a high end luxury company that can afford this because thats what their whole market is based off of, selling things rediculously expensive) is the GTR motor and the and the 4b11 motors. the GTR is expensive and a novelty car but affordable so it sells what they make. the 4b11motor is called the world motor, used in the caliber, the new SRT-4 the evo the lancer and the genesis coupe. it was developed to be used in vehicles from manufacturer's world wide making it affordable as well. its really simple to comprehend, but everyone seems to neglect that because they want to see a turbo Z and if they make a turbo kit for the Z why don't they just make a turbo Z blah blah blah.... well to PROPERLY turbo that Z motor, your going to spend another 10k on that vehicle. add that to the price, plus all the R and D and safety that needs to be put in by the company to prove its safe and compliant to regulations they will probably tag on another 10k. then they dont want to compete with their OWN GTR market, that would be retarded and cost tehm more money... so you see where the problem is? or will everyone once again just pretend they dont understand what im saying?

Oh really? Is that why just about every car manufacturer offers a turbo model, still? The two cars drive differently, I assume, and they are completely different cars.

look at the MSRP difference between a NA z32 and the TT z32, there is almost a $10k diff, now the 370z already costs about $32k for the base now imagine if you even had a single turbo system on it, that would probably put the car in the in 40's now the new z is a nice car, but it would be in dangerous territory if the price goes above $37k as that puts it in exige, porsche, vette..etc land. hell if it went to $40k i could spend $10k more, buy a new c6 zo6 and go destroy some GTR's at the track.

In the end it would make an already expensive z even more expensive, so much that it would probably be reclassed as a different type of car.

So what? There will always be people who want one. And a $40K car isn't really considered expensive, these days. Not that I can afford one. Looks to me like the Z06 starts at $74,875 these days. I don't know what you're talking about.

That's not fair to compare used prices to new now, is it? Actually, I find that most people who have more money than sense don't keep up maintenance on their cars. They sell them every few years anyway. Why would they care?

i dont know around MN but around here they are usually owned by people who will take it to the dealer for an oil change or to have there air filter checked. it may not be fair to copare used vs. new but there are some damn good deals on these cars.

Honestly the C6 Corvette is probably the best bang for the buk. The GTR is cool and all but if I had my choice I would probably go with a Vette. Then again if I had 60 g's I would probably just build my dream 240z.

Hahahahaha ^^^

They should TT the Z but only offer a few of them ~200. They'd be sold instantly.

Or buy one new for $32,000 and have a turbo kit installed for $10,000. Same deal.

I'm sure 350Z TT kits will be dropping in price now.
