Time Attack, Time Trial
(whatever you want to call it)
Jan 22 – 23, Willow Springs Raceway
Your car. Your helmet. 2 days of High Speed Track Time
Willow Springs Raceway, Rosamond, CA
4 groups: DE, Solo, Point-By, Race

Driving Education (DE) - A structured Driving Education for new drivers. If you have no track experience, this is the place for you. Group classroom and an instructor will be with you on the track. You will be on the track with Solo TT.

Solo TT - newer drivers (1 to 7 days track experience) or for experienced drivers who like a well controlled passing environment. Passing is allowed only on the left on designated straights and only with a point-by. No timing will be provided.

Point-By/TT: Experienced drivers (8 to 20 days of track experience). Passing is allowed only with a point-by at the lead car’s discretion, on either side of the car. Passing in the corners is OK but only with a point-by. Timing for those with AMB transponders.

Open/TT: Open passing is in effect. For very experienced drivers and fast, specially prepared cars. This is not a race group, so consideration must be given to cars being overtaken. Timing for those with AMB transponders.

Race: This is the real deal but, we race like ladies and gentlemen. Timing for those with AMB transponders.
Helmets - we can still use our Snell 2000 helmets for now, but Snell 2005 is required by the middle of 2011.
Seat Belts - 3 point are OK for all cars in DE/Solo and OK for 2000 and newer cars in Point-By. “Modified” cars may require 5 point.

All cars are welcome; you just need a desire to improve your skills and to have a little fun in the process.
We have been doing track events since 1972 and wheel to wheel racing for over 20 years
