Since when are we cool?

I found this t-shirt on a website that sells other pop culture shirts.

I just had to laugh, because no one under 40 knows what Datsun would be. Even the people at Advance auto parts and auto zone give me blank stares when I say the make is a Datsun (I then suggest that it is under Nissan).

PS Its in the "top 20" part of the site too!

ya I really want one.

I am afraid of the person sorry person who goes "whats Datsun?" I don't think I will be able to hold back and not to give them the history of Datsun from 1960 to the present. lol

Its just like a 17 year old wearing a Transformers t-shirt. Those things were no longer main stream before they were even born.

Datsun t-shirts have been around a while. The ones I have aren't made to look worn like those. I hear a Datsun shirt while driving my 350Z sometimes.

Well its going slow but good, as I expected. I ordered tokico struts and springs as well as a prothane bushing kit so i figured I would do the following while I am at it:
Rebuild brakes
new rotors
strip and repaint all suspension parts (strut assy, sway bar, hubs)
new struts durr! (old ones wouldn't even return when pushed down)
new springs durr! (PO cut springs)
new bushings durr!

currently I have the calipers rebuilt and everything apart ready to be blasted. Problem is that the sandblaster I planned on using sucks(cabinet window is almost opaque) and it takes forever. I may just pay someone to blast them. Ideas on cost to blast the strut tube and dust shield?

Once it is nice out again I may have to take it over to you and check out you part supply, if that is still cool.

How goes parting out your free 280z?

Haha, i work at advance, and everyone there knows what i'm building. and they still give me those "What?" stares when i ask em to find a part for it. Its fun to me. and i only just turned 21, so don't worry. There are some young guns still rollin around who know what datsun is. Now gimme a second, i gotta call my store and get em to find me a water pump for a 69 VW beetle.
