yeah, proper modifications work, but autozone, napa and pep-boys off the shelf mods dont..

i haven't made any mods i just drive it slow and don't allow the turbo to boost.

still doesnt fix the long list of whats wrong with it, it may run right now, but for how long? band-aid's dont heal.

would not blocked air flow decrease the temperature in your Z31 Zhag, because running rich (less air more gas) allows lower running temperatures? it's running lean that makes it run hotter.

when the air intake is blocked or impaired, there will be no cooling. the k and n filter placed in the spot the stock air filter lives will cause hot air to be pulled into the engine instead of cooler air into the engine from under the car..and will cause running hot problems. the housing from the stock air filter helps to pull in the cooler air into the engine from under the car instead of the hot air from inside the engine---makes a difference--noticeable difference...in the functioning of the car....

actually has nothing to do with mixtures or richness---the o2 sensors and afm/maf do that as well as ecu----the cars do not seem to like the mix wrong, either......

ive got a good set of heads from an 87, that that need cleaned up for $80+sh i also have a set of 87 NA cams i will let go for $20 w/gears i still have a crap load of parts for z31's

they have the valve, seats, guides, springs, retainers still installed, i think they where rebuilt but cant confirm it, i have lifters, lifter plates, rockers, rocker guides too somewhere, i might have a set of 85T cams too (biggest production cams you can get) somewhere i will let go for $40 if i can find them.

slick top was a special order. t-tops were standard equipment so its you t-top Z32s that are BASE model.

my dealer carried them as base models, and there is still no proof that a slicktop z32 is any stronger then a t-top z32, unless you can find a crash test video from the 90's i am still going with a t-top chassis, because of the experiences i have had while crashing them.

hey wiki says the 280 only weighs around 2355 lbs. but i've seen other places (a thread on zcar.com) say that they can but up to 2800 stock. how do they actually weigh in? how much can be taken out easily? what's a high and low weight for an s30?

a 280Z? they are like 2500 - 2600 just cause they have a bigger bumper thats reinforced a bit more. the 240/260Z is more like 2355 the early 240Z i think is like 40 lbs lighter or something lol. and the 280zx is close to 3000 lbs but not i think in the upper 2800's or lower 2900's
