yeah, i could go on but i think you can get the drift. sometimes i mix it up with some heavier rock or rap, or techni. nothing puts me in a better hard driving mood than some techno/euro. as long as it is good an bassy.

jazz; old, new, no kenny g. mingus, coltraine, miles davis. medeski martin and wood, jacob fred jazz odyssey, etc.
funk, anything really, as long as its, well.....funky.
classic rock. rush kicks ***, and neal peart is the best drummer ever. all the other classics.
old punk, descendents, dead kennedys etc. some newer punk.
techno. drum n bass, trance, etc. good driving music.
trip-hop kind of stuff. sneaker pimps, portishead, bjork.
tool, NIN, whatever when the mood strikes. tool puts on a great live show BTW.
rap. old school. some new stuff. busta rhymes, mac dre, whatever else.
classical, bach, mozart, ludwig von, etc...
not much i dont listen to, genre wise anyway. i just listen to whatever happens to catch my ear at the moment. my music tastes are pretty broad. i try and keep an open mind. my 30gb ipod is nearly full.
dont really like country.
new rock just plain sucks. emo sucks even more.

There is so many more, but it gives you guys an idea of what I like, I also like some punk, and soft rock that I grew up with. James Taylor, Kenny Rogers, Chicago, Journey you get the idea. I am pretty versatile when it comes to the rock category, except a lot of the wimpy alternative crap in the '90's that turn my stomach, because it is boring, an meaningless to me! Also the fact that most of the bands in the '90's sounded like they were cloning each other.

My two daughters and girlfriend bought me for Father's Day two tickets to Eric Clapton at Madison Square Gardens on September 30th. We are flying up for the weekend. I so cannot wait! By far, the greatest guitarist ever!!!

Now I'll listen to anything except country. That sh*t makes me wanna gouge out my eardrums with a rusty butter knife. Mostly, I listen to 80's, alternative or club music (progressive, house, trance).

I grew up in a house with an older sister who was a DJ on a local student run rock station. I listened to a ton of classic rock, and I also used to listen to a lot of alternative. Then it started getting all mainstream and emo. Can't do emo. I understand why those poor kids cut themselves now. I still have all my rock albums, and I'm one of the biggest Van Halen fans you'll meet.
Strangely enough, if you see me driving around nowadays, you'll always find me listening to JPop.
