I got my 1992 Nissan 300ZX 5 Spd TT for $4500 about 6 months ago and the guy a bought it from was a dumbass. He said that it was signed by "some guy". Well that guy was Mr. Yutaka Katayama. It is signed on the dash between the dash and the drivers side door. I am just wondering if that has a significant impact on the worth of the car.

I think it's only relevant to anyone who knows anything about Z's.
I'm sure to most ppl, MR.K is just "some guy" like the previous owner said.

 

not saying yours is fake or anything, but maybe I should sign my dash w/ "Mr. K"....It might be the best thing I could do to raise the value at this point........(i'm just kidding, I would never do that)

 

my 240z is signed by Mr. K and it has been a selling point to some (when I was trying to sell it).

yeah, value depends on the buyer...it's hard to see how he bought the car himself without asking about the scribble across the dash, though.
If I didn't know who Mr. K was I'd think it was a vandalized dash and pay less!
