Here Comes Santa Clause

Is everyone ready for Xmas? Just wondering what you're getting for your significant others.....
If I haven't mentioned it, Amy's a Disney fanatic. Our bedroom, bathroom and kitchen have been overrun by that mouse. I've attached a picture of the head board that Amy wants. We already have the nightstand and the sheet set that are in that picture. Problem with the headboard is, it won't fit in our bedroom because of the location of the windows. It's 8" too wide. I wound up making a custom one instead. It regularly sells for $369. I'm into it for about $70 and 8 hours of labor. I finished it last night and I think mine looks better than the actual Disney one.
I'll take a picture of it when I get a chance and post it on for you guys to see.

There are a couple other little things she's getting, but the headboard is the main thing.

That looks great 91. I'm sure Amy will love it.
For Sue, I got a couple of nice sweaters, Disney (minnie mouse) PJ's, a cookie press (she loves to bake...so sad for me, eh?), watch (made totally of wood), 3/4 length leather jacket.

I have my boys visiting me for the holidays (till Friday) so we had our Christmas today at my place. Tomorrow Christmas at my parents, Saturday Christmas at Sue's family's place. All in all, Christmas involves about 12 hours of driving.

Sue spoiled me! whoooooo. '99 J-Spec tail lights, new 3rd brake light panel, socks, underwear.

Hope you guys all have an excellent Christmas! Have fun and be safe!

Looks really good 91. Get you a tag from the store and hang on it, she'll never know.
Janet and I ordered a Yellow 35th 350 for X-mass, only it won't be here till the middle of February, hopefully for her b-day the 22nd. Been on order since the 1st of November.
Maybe Santa will still bring her some new bootie covers and hootie holders.
X-mass day we'll spend time with my folks then go to one of the daughters and put up with screaming grandkids and the x-wife.

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year.

Why is it that men always get socks and underwear for Xmas?

I dunno but I like it. At this point and after this many years, if I didn't get socks and underwear...I think I'd feel ripped off.

Merry Chistmas all!! :hpydance:

has she made you dress up like mickey?

i got my gf pink fleece pants, one of those wide-necked sweaters, a long sleve shirt, and a heart pendant
but we havent exchanged gifts cuz she pissed me off before i left for ohio, but i gave her the pendant and apologized because some of it was my fault.

i know this is bad to say but im kinda mad at my parents because all i had on my x-mas list were a few parts for my car, and we had basically agreed that thats all i was getting, since i dont need anything else.
i havent gotten any of them yet, but i still have one more gift to open(possibly the ud pulley, not the whole kit like i told them along with half the money to buy it with) and they said one was still being shipped tho too.

Now I get to drive 120 miles to the in-laws. Merry xmas all.

Hey, Merry Christmas everybody!! Hope all of you had a great time spent with family and friends.....and a very white Christmas! It might be dangerous driving that Z around in the snow, but what would Christmas be without a little of that white stuff?! I love Chicago....

Here's the finished product. I like my design better than Disney's.

Like I stated earlier. That looks great. What was Amy's reaction to it?

She liked it a lot. She suspected that I was building something because I came home one night and smelled like saw dust.

Should have told her that you fell on the floor at the bar and they use saw dust on the floor.

I said she likes Mickey, not that she has a fetish for Mickey.

Sweet mother of God!! That looks awesome 91zxtt! You should start making more of these unique Disney stuff and sell 'em on eBay!~

Thanks for the compliment. Wood working is fun now and then, but I don't have the patience to do it that often. I'm sure that if I posted something like that on ebay, Disney would find out somehow, then I'd get Mickey's attorney calling me and telling me to stop. I think my next project is to build a matching footboard. Her birthday is next month, so maybe I'll do that.

Once we get a pool table, I'll be building a cover for it that we'll be able to use as a ping-pong table.
