got a new truck
well my 06 titan hit the can. it started to smoke so i sent it to a nissan dealership. They said the cats where bad and going to replace the cats and engine. my compression test was horrible highest was 130 I was pretty happy about all this. Well when they ordered the engine they had to reuse my heads and after pulling valve covers they found sludge. i only had this truck for 5 months. So apparently the previous owner never did proper oil changes. i bought it from a local car shop so lesson learned. Went to nissan dealership and since the warranty was voided bc of the sludge i was stuck with a truck with no engine. We today i went and looked a other titans. all 08 were going for 24k. my note woulda ended up 450-500 a month....ouch. i had a note of 370. the nissan dealership wanted me to do a trade in to get me out of this hell hole. The people at nissan were very nice while working on the titan so i was more then happy to do business with them on a trade in. I learned my lesson on buying a car from a low life used car dealership....... I was never gave a look to the frontier. Small truck v6 engine..how much fun could it be? But i found one that cought my eye. It just happen to be a silver 07 NISMO off road frontier. Talk about this thing hauls ***. stroked vq....its a very sick motor. the 4.0 is a very strong motor and im pretty happy on the truck. was hoping it have a 6sp but the auto in it is pretty nice. iv only had it for a couple hrs but i did some fun driving in her. ill have to get some pics up of her. So the plus side is my gas will better and insurance will a little lower. just thought i would rant.

Anyway sorry to hear man. Glad to hear you got another truck though. Good luck with that one.

yea, i was thinking about that when they told me about the head....it was possible that the oil was changed just could of been cheap *** oil. when i first got the truck i changed the oil and it was clean used oil coming out.

I like the Frontier you have there. Its still a huge truck in my book. I can't believe driving a massive beast of a Titan would be fun. More like piloting a barge. Small trucks (and cars) are where its at.

lol, to be honest i didnt think the titan is a very huge truck...im use to driving my step dads 07 tundra when we have to haul crap. i loved the throttle response of the titan very clean. but I DO love this frontier. very fun truck. hella better gas mileage. already been thinking of what i want on her. nerf bars,maybe a 3-4 inch level lift with a little more beefy tires on the stock rims,exhaust,bull guard and get my sound system back in.
