Got a new car

I'll post pics later...when I actually have time to take them! Anyway, I know you guys are gonna grimace, but it's a nice car. I got an MK3 Supra. It's got the 7MGTE (yes with the MHG) and a T-62 turbo--this is one BIG turbo! FMIC (plan on going bigger though), tons of upgrades. The things pretty fast. The weird thing that I'm not used to though is that it has lag, TT didn't have that. The car is an NA that got the turbo swap (yes, it got the lsd swap too), so this keeps insurance down for me, plus I get an NA rear end. Right now, I can't boost past 13 psi b/c of fuel cut. I need bigger injectors and a bigger MAF--then I can boost to 25 psi. I thought I'd let everyone know I got a new car that's not slow. I need a paint job and a new tint. Now I got to sell that 240z to pay for my upgrades! It's werid not having a Z, but I will have another TT in a few years. Until then, the Supra will do.

I'll post pics in a little while. The outside is all stock and needs a new paint job (not too bad, but for me, I like em clean). It does have aftermarket wheels, ADR 16s, nothing too fancy, just wider in the back. Inside, it has a HUGE stereo (too much for me) Kicker subs (2 12s), 2 kicker 6x9s, and 2 infinity kappas, in the doors. It's got the bump and it's too much for me I think. A pillar guages, everything else is stock. Other engine mods are full exhaust (downpipe back) with a flowmaster muffler (sounds good actually, real throaty, but a little loud since it only has one high flow cat other than straight pipe. turboXS MBC, MHG, K&N intake, walbro fuel pump, lots of other little stuff like that. It's blue, with blue interior (yuck...gotta do something). Needs cleaning up, but it'll be my project for the rest of school, then I'll get the 350zTT Nissan will have out by then...hopefully! and another z32TT.

Thanks. You think if i get a manuel and a new engine that i would be able to change it out? Im a smart kid, and i got a lot of common sense, not really a mechanic tho. THink that it would be to much for me to handle?

Robert.

By yourself, yes. With help from someone who knows what they're doing...no. Do you have a manual already? This will make it A LOT easier. IT'd be more work to convert to turbo too. The wrie harness will NOT be your friend. getting that tranny right in the tunnel can be tricky too. You have to have a lot of tools and equipment that you may not have as well. In all honesty, you're almost better off buying another car and saving as much as you can off your 84. A motor and tranny is gonna be around $500 I'm guessing (for cheap). You may want a rebuild...more $. all the loose odds and ends in the conversion....$$$. It'll add up to the price of a turbo these days. Good luck and feel free to PM or post with any questions.

The motor can handle 25 psi fine...well...I didn't mention the metal heag gasket, arp studs, etc on the block. I just won't do it. Mayeb 24...jk. ill keep it around 18, 12 for the street like I have it now.
