Got my M1 . . .
So i finaly got around to getting my M1 and im in the market for a cheap, reliable 80's japanese sport bike. Any recomendations? I am thinking a yamaha fz or a ninja. Its just gunna be a commuter. So it doesnt have to be the best or fastest bike out there. . .

HAHAHA, I thought your were talking Abrams Battle tank. I was like cool a fellow tanker! (Well I am a track technician but same thing)
If I were going to buy a commuter bike I would get something I wouldnt need to straddle the tank on. A cruiser. Thats just me. You can throw on some saddle bags, and a turtle shell helmet and scare little girls.

if you want a crotch rockept sorta of bike, that is uber cheap great on gas. get a ninja ex250. or ex500. if your looking for soemthign a bit more sporty, then stick to the 600's. like the R6 or honda F4/F4I. ninja 600. or a gixxser 600. you can get the allstare edition. look into triumph as well. they make some atractive street bikes that are decently priced. they are british though. if your looking for a brand new bike stick wiht the yamaha fz6 or whatever. its an R6 with out body plastics, somewhat different, but still a sport bike.

I'd suggest a GSXR-750. By far the best 80's sportbike. My second choice would be an FZR-600. Stay away from the Interceptor, Ninja and FZ, they had problems.

ha, i totally overlooke the 80's thing. ick, i hate the 80's for anything motorized. besides that they rocked. like in pop culture lol. damn i love the 80's show. you should really look intop the early 90's. were sport bikes started to look sexy and actually perform somewhat decent.
