the cost of Z cars

alright my pops been lookin at getting another little car, hes looking at other things but keeps comming back to my car and liking how it is aside from the fact some things need to be fixed or just put back in the car (minor stuff)

so i thought i would check out some prices....and what the heck Z31 and earlier jumped way up in price. alot of cars like mine but in MUCH worse shape are going for $5000, its just nutty!

you get the occasional $1000 or less car but holy cow theres not much left of them

pffft.... i sold my Z for 6k and it was damn near show room quality. the undercarriage and engine bay were better than show room. paint i never was able to finish because it needed more clear imho and interior was mostly done.

Yeah but it was grey. Just kidding man, that was a very nice 280. BTW my 240 is only going to be grey for approximately one more day....actually its already primered.

you paint it red? lol thats what you wanted right red? pfft everyone and there mother does red i loved my color cause it was almost a flat dark silver with lots of flake it was pretty original, i think a nice sunset orange or burnt orange kinda like the vette's would be sick but with some dark flake mixed in so it reflects different contrasts as you move around would be sick

doesn't work like that, for the most part, we find them cheaper out that way so we can afford the shipping the plus side is the lack of rust, that's why finding one out east here ALREADY in good condition THAT jacks up the price because of the luxury of it being fairly local. that guy was probably a retard and you shoulda done it haha. we know there's more over there with less rust so there's less demand, good idea in theory though if you got everyone else on the west coast to buy into that plot it would work

Yep, it'll match the Duck! I was going to paint it the original color...which is kinda a golf ball green color...but I went with 905 red. I know red is overdone in alot of sports cars....Miatas, RX-7s, 1st gen DSMs, etc. but I've actually seen very few red S30s. The 905 red was only available on the '70s and '71s, in '72 they switched to 110 red which is actually more orange...so truly red S30s are kinda rare, at least around here.

BTW did you get another cat? Thats looks like a small kitten in your avatar (or just an old pic of your adult cat?).

i have noticed prices move around a little bit, but i still don't see it as a problem to find good reasonably priced z's

on the color topic, i'm thinking of painting the 32 white this winter. maybe black. depends on how fast i get lazy on the body work i guess. probably white.

haha not fast. it's more what i'll have time for. i'll be doing it during my month of break, and i'll be working full time at the same time. it won't really affect what color i choose. just a joke kinda. i'll almost definitely go with white.
