he's in the Z-Car Club of Washington. I ended up never being able to get a title for that 300ZX and the kid that gave it to me dissapeared so I'm just trying to give it away now.

What did they say about me??? I want to know

 

why don't u do a lean sale on it and get the title that way thats how were getting the title for our 300

I really want to know what that is and where to get the paperwork. I looked online for stuff like that. The DMV does not make getting anything but the basic title transfer forms easy to find.

I have a different vehicle left on my property worth persuing. This 300ZX is garbage. Unless I can trade it for a yellow 240Z. Then its a great car.

 

its spelled lien i believe.... so if that helps your search any. incase you were searching lean or idk. go into the dmv and see if you can do it that way... or go to shops they always do lein's and should be able to tell you how they do it. that or flight4life if he did it should have info on how to, but it might be diff in your state and all

 

I asked about something like that before. I didn't know the term 'lien' though... they told me "you can't just claim a car. I can't give you any information on that"

as you can see they're here to help... leave it to our DMV

 

Thanks for the tip on the Lien Sale.

I found the forms. I can't go the "Self-Storage Lien Sale" method because the owner of this Toyota that is stored on my property did not sign a contract, and even if he did it would have to state that I can put a lien on the vehicle if rent is overdue by 14 days.

So the other type is a Chattel Lien Sale. I have to show evidence of work or materials used on the vehicle, costs, and keep the prices within a reasonable market price for the work performed. Then mail the owner notice of the lien and amounts due. Then file the Lien Sale. Then once I get the title, if I sell the vehicle for more than all the depts, costs of filing, storage and costs to advertise and sell, I am to return the excess amount to the original owner of the car.

I just received this in our club email blast.....

Straight and 98% complete. Has minor damage on roof.
1986, blue, non-turbo, 2 seater, t-tops, 5-speed, broken timing belt,
doors don't open from outside, pass glass broken. If at all interested
email me for more info and pictures. Located in Federal Way, WA at my
house. Good parts car but I am not trying to part it out. I want the
whole car gone.

I don't have a title for this car, BTW. I think the young kid who gave it to me just wanted to dump it on my property. He canceled his cell number and dissapeared. Car has been here about 8 months. I have his old passport still from the car so maybe you can contact him about the title. I don't have any desire to. I'm planning to move anyway. If it comes down to it, I'll just have the car towed away and it will be his problem. I figured some Z31 guys in WA might be able to make some use out of it or try for a title first

Marty knows me though from the Z club of Washington. Actually, we've been aquaintences since about 1999 when I joined the club. At 28 I'm still the youngest member but back then I was all of 21 years old
