BARTCO CNC Services

hey i bart and am here to offer my cnc service for whatever parts you guys may want to get made or duplicated at a more modest price... i own a 86 nissan s12 silvia and am co-owner of www.club-s12.org and currently make alot of aftermarket parts for that plateform like bigi brake kits, fmic kits, turbo headers, coilovers, fuel rails..... recently i have aquired a cnc and now have the ability to expand my expertise and services to other nissan platforms... some of the parts im looking at making now are alum flywheels, adjustable cam gears, control arms, bushings, headgaskets, and many more parts... so if you have any ideas of stuff you'd like to see let me know here....

heres a link to the first topic i started here that covers some of the stuff already talked about https://www.zdriver.com/forums/showt...973#post256973

Solid bushings. material, price, and fit test. there are at least a dozen z-owners on this site who i'm sure would test your products for reliability.

something you dont see for the vg's are underdrive pulleys. unorthodoxracing stop production of them a while back. i know that would take some time but im sure you will get some people to jump on it.

I have a 280zx rear cross member sitting in my garage. Give me a couple days & I'll have the measurements for you. I'm first in line for a set! :D

Bartco Apr 28, 2009 04:41 PM

i have 2 sets of rear cross member bushings done that fit the s12 and z31. price would be $75 and i should be able to fit them in a flat rate usps box and if so shipping is $5 in the lower 48

uhmw = Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene

$75 isn't too bad... though that's quite a price mark up seeing as 12"x12" sheets go for $40-$60 and you could pop out 5-8 per sheet. :D

This is the first place I went to for prices ( http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?id=978&step=2 )

I'm sure you can find it cheaper than that as well.

EDIT... not to be a downer on this Bartco project, but they sell round rods (3"x12" & 4"x12") for $15-$20. Five minutes on a lathe and you have them done. $75 is way overpriced... even if we were paying for your "hours" of labor. :D

NismoPick Apr 28, 2009 08:09 PM

I'd pay $75 for an aluminum set because they'd need to be cnc machined... and because they'd last longer. There's no reason to cnc these round plastic bushings when you can buy round stock.

i wish it was just 5 minutes.... even though uhmw is very easy to machine it sucks up alot of time because as you lathe it it doesnt chip off like alum does but rather act like a rope getting caught in a driveshaft it just collects and you have to constantly stop and cut off the wrapped mess.... . i dont think that most people realize with a shop you dont only have the cover the material cost and my actual macheing time but also wear and tear on the machines.. i know its soft material but it still causes wear and uses electricity... i really dont think im too high in price ,but if this really is too high im willing to drop it as i stated from the get go im flexible in this department... id be willing to drop it too $60 if that would sound fair to u guys

as far longevity of the uhmw it'll last a very long time as the rear sub frame really doesnt have alot of movement especially when you have these or alum bushing in there... and with a solid diff mount the movment would almost be completely gone.. the added benifit of alum is a even more rigid setup...

Bartco Apr 29, 2009 04:30 PM

the price will be $65 shipped in the lower 48 for the rear crossmember bushings

Bartco May 18, 2009 10:19 PM

hey just wanted to know how many here would want a set of vg30e/t adjustable cam gears.. they will have +- 10 degrees of adjustment. this is idle for those who want to open up the powerband especially if you get a aftermarket cam... price wise they'll be $150-175 with a core charge of $50..i will be using the outer part of the stock cam gears and then cnc'ing out the inner housing that will allow the adjustment of the cam gear.heres a pic of what they will basiically look like

http://z31parts.com/images/russgears.jpg

i can make them for any other belt driven cam engine so let me know..
