I have read in a few different places that Nissan sold it's 1 millioth Z car in America during the 1990 model year.. The 500,000 mark was a 280ZX in 1981.

Does anyone know where I can find info on that 1 millionth car, like the VIN?

I've searched all over google with no luck.. I keep finding documents that say it was a 90 300zx, but not any particulars..

hmmm... unless you can find the person that actually owns it and if he did he might actually brodcast that. it is probably destroyed.... dont vin numbers give you a production number though in the lines.... i thought they did.

EDIT: ahhh now that i thought about it just a bit more... if the vin does give a production number its just gonna be for that modelv(z32) soo.... yeah. i doubt youll ever find it let alone anyone know if they own the millinth Z... why does it matter? if anything owning the first Z in Z history or first Z of that generation is somethign cool....

 

It's just a curiousity thing.. I own a 90 and I'm wondering how close it is to the millionth one..

The VIN database registry here ( http://www.az-zbum.com/cgi-bin/z32registry.pl ) has all the VINs listed for 1984 - 1996 by generation (Z31, Z32) and is searchable so you can see how your car compares to all the other ones produced that year or during the run.. But it doesn't specify the millionth car.

My car is number 1633 of the 89,156 Z32's produced.. It's one of 1206 gold pearls made, and one of 204 gold pearls with leather, bose and a manual transmission (the 14th of 204 made).

Doesn't make it more or less valuable than any other Z..It's just interesting to me (I do alot of numbers and statistics for work)

 

see the gold with leather production is interesting.. i just dont see teh millionth car being to exciting. lol

it didn;t pass inspection (to my standards) compression was a bit low. so i gues the motor was not too healthy. so the search goes on.
