NA intake plenum ported and modified - KA24 TB ready.

I have a plenum I spent way more time that I'd like to think about on. It was originally going on my NA but I've picked up a turbo engine to swap into the NA so I no longer need this plenum. The plenum has the EGR valve blocked off (but can be removed if you want to use the EGR). The runners have been ported out to the gasket and all the runners have been ported and roughly polished. All the flashing from the runners removed. TB intake has been ported out to match a KA24 60mm throttle body. Webbing has been removed to keep hot air from being trapped between the heat shield and the plenum. Would recomend using a thermal barrier as well on your heat shield to further reduce manifold temps. Black krinkle powder coated. Asking $150 plus shipping. Possible trade on 440-550 cc injectors, fuel presure regulator or external wastegate.

Sorry guys I thought I had subscribed to my own thread - missed all your questions

It's a NA plenum from a P79 head that has been modified - webbing removed, ported runners and TB side, krinkle black powder coated, EGR blocked.

It's still available

Dewebbed plenum

[QUOTE=FricFrac;304798]I have a plenum I spent way more time that I'd like to think about on. What performance advantage come from a dewebbed intake plenum. Webbed plenums came from late 77 Z cars to 1983 S-130 which was supposed to be an upgrade. I'm lost a bit here.

IMHO webbed is a comprimise of trapping the air between the thermal barrier and the webbing to make an insulating layer of air. Unfortunately that trapped air is quite hot. With this setup what I recomend is to take the heat shielding which is half of what traps the air and add a thermal blanket with a built in mylar sheat like DEI makes. That will keep the majority of the heat out and the dewebbed plenum will allow any extra heat to escape and reduce the heat soak in the plenum.
