FS: Datsun 280ZX MSA type 2 body kit
I have for sale a used 280ZX Motorsport Auto type 2 body kit, that came off an ’82 2-seater and is currently painted white. This includes both bumpers and side skirts. The rear bumper has a foot-long cut (not shown) from a saw in it, but any body shop can fill that in when they repaint it for you. You can see where the kit comes from here: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/7AP1/50-1512G As you can see, the retail is $560, plus shipping, but I’m only selling mine for $250. I do not have any boxes big enough to ship it, so it'll have to be Bay Area, CA pickup/delivery only.
*EDIT* I also have the spoiler in the picture for sale as well. That will go for $80, or $65 if bought with the rest of the body kit.

I've just made an edit: I also have the spoiler in the picture for sale too.
For anyone wanting me to ship it, you do realize it'll probably be $100 or something for a box this big and heavy, right? If you're still interested, I might start looking for a box. But local pickup will take priority of course.

im still intrested in all of it. iv been looking at one of these for a while. and once the body works done i planned on getting one of these but if i can find one cheap enough id be willing to buy it lol anyway man lmk
Ok, I just took some measurements of the body parts. With minimal packaging, the box interior will need to be a minimum of 70" x 35" x 14". I'll check at my work tomorrow to see if they have any boxes that could be cobbled together into that approximate shape/size. But if they don't, then I really don't know what to do. Even a refrigerator box might not be long enough for this. I would love to ship it out to one of you guys, but I don't have a whole lotta free time to be running around town looking for a giant box. I'll keep y'all posted.
For those who've never shipped large objects out, there's something called "dimensional weight" that shipping companies factor into their pricing. In fact, the dimensional weight is possibly a bigger factor in pricing than the actual weight. Simply put, a light, but very large, package would take up a lot of room in a truck/plane, meaning they can't put more paying packages on the same shipment, which is why they have to charge accordingly if some package is taking up all the room.
Update: I've found a suitable box to package the side skirts and spoiler. I'm going to need some packing materials to make sure they're protected in the box, and to wrap up the bumpers with. Stay tuned.

That's what the Hybridz guy did to get the 280zx G-Nose home from Japan.
