I kinda like this project. Seems demented and totally retarded. Just like something I would do. What do you guys have? I have seen some crazy things in my days of youtube surfing.

this isn't so extreme but it's something i saw at a car show that i really liked. this car really is a beast. i thought about doing it to my midget, but two things stopped me. first off, i naturally just don't particularly like the idea of engine swaps. second off, twice as big as the engine swap job is the suspension and body work job to be able to handle that power. i wasn't up for that at the time. it's a pretty cool car though.

 

hmm......well, if we're tossin around crazy ideas here, how about a hot rod z?

i got my hands on a buick 215block (freebie~!) and most of the stuff needed to stroke it. and it wouldn't be tough or expensive to get my hands on a s30 thats been crunch in the front end. mix that with something like a mazda b2200 pickup frame. just cut everything from the firewall forward off. slot it, set it on the frame, puts some big fat fatties on the rear and itty bitties on the front. find a nice lookin stand alone type grill, and just leave the engine area open. somebody with some artistic tallent sketch this up for me. please~~?

 

maybe TOF can show you how ugly it could be lol. it does sound pretty interesting. if you really found one that was already crunched up up front. it would be a shame to scrap a good front end though

oh goodness no! i'd never hack up a good z. well.....not another one. and not anymore than i already have. If i'm choppin the nose off a s30, its already scrap yard bound anyway. and to be honest, i aint neva seen no rat rod that was all that purdy. which is what it would prolly end up lookin like if i were to undertake a project like that.

 

Can we just put our own ideas in here? If so, I have quite a few..

One of them would be doing an entire Evolution 9 drivetrain swap into a 2004-2005 Civic coupe (2550 lbs, and known to be the slowest Honda ever made).

Another would be an E46 M3 drivetrain swap into an s2000 with a spoon hardtop then boosting it.

Daily driver? built K20a2 swapped classic mini cooper. RB26DETT swapped 5-dime. NSX drivetrain swapped swapped 3rd gen MR2.

I could go on..

i would put the evo 9 drivetrain in a starion (to keep it dsm)

i would put a rb26 in my s2k and slap on an amuse wide body(includes hard top)

DD? built K24a2 in a mini, and put than nsx drivetrain in lotus elise, 3 liters of euro fury!!!

and my personal dream... a 240zg w/ a RB26 but no turbo... ITBs!!!(the ones with dual injectors, yeah 12 of them *****!!!) BC stroker kit (2.8) but everything else tomei... ahh the sound it would make

iv seen a ls1 in a honda that was converted to rwd. seen focus also rwd ls1

 

i think ford sold a few focus's that were V8 rwd , but it didnt have a LS1

mabe they are all just converted

I presume you were talking about the FOrd engine.
It's the 4.0 ltr I6 Turbo engine in the Falcon in Australia.

See, I'm not a fan of the Starion at all. :hides: I seem to be alone on that, but something about it just isn't appealing at all to me. Plus I think that the 04-05 civic is the best looking Civic ever made.. Couple that with the reputation for being slow and I'd love to have one that's awd turbocharged and just beast.

The K24 I would love to do, but only if I boosted it. I'd rather go with the K20a2 if I were to go n/a for sure. Less Tq, but it would be great fun to rev to 9.5k when just carving out the backroads or something.

also i got a couple buddy's one with a 97 coupe civic with a K20(yup JDM) and another with a 94 hatch also K20 been featured in a mag once or twice his name is rob kinda chubby its green and was built by suja 1 or w/e they are called. and another buddy thats going for the evo world record on a stock ECU (just getting flashes i believe so far does like 10.9 i think)
