Will the hatch off a 2+2 fit onto my coupe?

I have a 260Z and the hatch is in very poor shape. It warps badly when I push the button down to open it and the paint is all cracked starting to rust. I also think there might be more bog in the hatch than there is metal! Anyway, a 2+2 hatch would be about a million times easier to obtain than a coupe hatch.

Oh yeah, the current hatch leaks exhaust fumes too. Not that the 2+2 hatch would make any difference, I just wanted to have a whinge.

 

i don't know, but you should be able to measure them up to compare. Perhaps the wreckers will let you return it if it doesn't fit, they let me do that when i was putting a 260z hatch gas strut on my car

No, they don't fit ( I tried when i had my parts car, long way off)

Thanks for the info zkid1. Looks like I will have to go to work on the original hatch.

 

the fumes are from
A) bad hatch seal
b) rubber bungs or other holes in the hatch leaking
