Here is a link for the HKS replica cat back true dual exhaust, great price, sounds great and you are not paying for the name of HKS, you are paying for the same product with out the name. http://www.invision350z.com/product-p/cb-n350z.htm

Here's a link for some nice Rolex replicas. They look great and tell time like the real one and you are not paying for the name of Rolex, you are paying for the a device that tells the exact same time as the real one.

There is no difference with the XO2 and the HKS, they are identical. they just dont say "HKS" on it. Ive done research, why pay 1,500 for the HKS when you can pay 550 for the X02 and the X02 is identical.

Exactly. I used the same logic in the previous post. Why pay 1,500+ for a real Rolex when you can get a replica that tells the exact same time for only a couple hundred bucks.

Hey JohnnyB350Z, I've been thinking about getting this because it only costs a fraction of the real one. What do you think?

like i said, you are paying for the name, why pay for the name HKS when you can have the EXACT quality, EXACT design, nothing different. and pay 550 instead of 1,500 for a name. its stupid.

i was simply telling them, you can have a exact replica of the HKS for less the price, same HP gains, Same quality, same design and you are not paying for the name of HKS.

Wrong. They are not the same quality. They use different materials and the welds are not as good. You will always pay a premium for anything titanuim. If you think the HKS is expensive go check the ARC in complete titanium, costs approx. $5,000.

I am curious about the horsepower gains. I assume you have a link to dyno that you can share with us. I haven't seen one yet, so I will hold off my judgement.

JohnnyB350Z, can you talk with my girlfriend about her damn Louis Vuitton. They have replicas that hold your stuff exactly the same as the real thing, but she just doesn't get the picture.

PFFFTTT.... ANTHING from ARC is going to be expensive. lol. they are like a ently of performance parts lol

EDIT: also, anything thats cheap is NEVER the same quality.... unless we talk about stillen. cause they just rip off japanese companies and then sell them here for twice the price with their name on it so if we were talking about a stillen exhaust knock off for the same quality cheaper price, then i could believe it. parts research even by professional magazines show the deterioration in quality with knock off prices. search on google you'll find the articles.

I wont lie, you might be right on that aspect. ( material ) I will admit when i am wrong, i just dont see the point of paying 1,500 for an exhaust. HP gains are the same. I do not have dyno sheets for them, but when i was looking up the info on them they said they are the same @ my350z.com ( subject: XO2 exhaust )

Im just saying, for this subject, not as purses, real diablo's vs kit car ones go.

you only get about what, 10-15hp for a catback exhaust. when you add the headers, cold air intake, plenum spacer, high flowcats then the catback exhaust, you get more HP gains in total.

why pay 1,500-5,000 for a 10-15hp gain product. is what im getting at.

550 is fine by me. go to youtube.com and get sound and video clips for the XO2 exhaust, its a really nice product.

true ^^^^ but HKS also dyno' tests all their products and designed them for the best possible HP gains. the other company just saw the design and copied it from simple patterns of sight. no research put into it, so likely, it wont perform AS well either, but in the end it wont be significant difference either.

Most of the aftermarket parts for the Z are expensive. Was your previous car a Civic?

Sorry, I don't see the difference. It's the exact same logic. If it's good for the geese it's good for the gander.

$550 isn't exactly cheap, especially considering that you spent that much for a fake.

I was pretty damn close.

Here's something right up your alley. Instead of spending 10k for a turbo you can get this for $120.

Sunami Tubro
The SUNAMI will simulate the “psssst” noise generated from the blow off valve of a turbo-equipped vehicle.

The SUNAMI comes complete with all hardware, which includes a manual push button trigger mechanism as well as a vacuum switch trigger mechanism.

After setting a trigger boost level through an adjustable setscrew on the vacuum pressure switch, every time you reach the set boost, the SUNAMI will simulate the “psssst” noise generated from the blow off valve of a turbo vehicle.

An additional override button also allows you to trigger the SUNAMI anytime.

To learn more about how the SUNAMI is triggered, please see the instructions page.
