TT Bellhousing and NA Bellhousing: Differences?

TT Bellhousing and NA Bellhousing: Differences?
I know that the starter needs to be shimmed out to use a TT flywheel in an NA tranny, but my main question is if the bellhousings themselves are different (NA bellhousing a few millimeters smaller than the TT...?). Anyone know
I've even tried looking at pics on ebay to see if I could spot a difference in the thickness of the aluminum where the tranny bolts to the engine, but without the two right in front of me its kinda hard to figure out

You got it.
It's a very, very minimal difference. Not noticeable for the most part.
Here's a pic of a tranny from a na->tt swap. Notice how the inside is worked over to accomodate the larger tt flywheel.

rizz you are the man! Thanks for that pic, it really clears things up. I am in the planning stage of my NA TT swap. I have only seriously considered this because I have lucked out and found a DETT. It just got shipped from Japan, and since the guy that imported the stuff is a friend of my brother's, he's saving me the motor and cutting me a deal. It has tranny and ECU, although I don't know if it's a manual or not. Thanks again

I hope you have a lotta money in reserve or know of a hidden Z32 junkyard somewhere cuz you're gonna need a LOT of tt parts. Piping, intercoolers, oil cooler plus lines and connectors and whole lotta other stuff for the swap. I recommend searching ebay like crazy, tt.nets classifieds, 3zc's classifieds and Zdrivers for sale section for ppl parting out tt's.
