i have an auto tranny and it drives until it warms up and then it wont go into gear but if i turn off the car and turn it right back on it does go into gear. this is in a 94 n/a. any thoughts, new tranny seems likely but i hope you guys tell me something different.

sounds like you have a clog in the tranny filter cheap way to fix this woud to replace the filter and fluid. smell the fluid if it smells burn't you will have to go for a costly repair. remember check your tranny fluid with the engine running otherwise it may show as full on the stick but be low on fluid. good luck
