This Sux

Took my car to the shop to finaly get it fixed since none of the stuff i have done has worked.

TO find out its what everyone in the world said it was but my father refused to believe its a Blown headgasket.

My car has 170k miles on it the shop wont even replace the headgasket because there afraid of what they might find.

NOW THE trans is making noise.

So bottom line now i need a new trans and new engine. Perfect time to do a TT swap dont ya think lol.........plus it doesnt help that nobody really sells a NA block and i dont feel like junkyard browsing....so maybe a JDM front clip would be the easiest solution. Plus i could convert to RHD too lol...........What do you guys think?

Anyone know of any good reputable places that sell blocks or front clips. Im just going through my Super Street looking for JDM engine importers.

NISMO LMR can get it for you, but I haven't seen him on this site recently. Look him up. The shop won't replace the headgasket because their afraid of what they might find?!? More likely they won't do it because they don't know how. I front clip will run you in the ballpark of $3k. A new tranny rebuild will cost a good chunk also. Is it manual or auto? If it's auto, then look into converting to manual.

alright someone will probably attempt to shoot me for this......

looking at TT's that come with everything...cant convince the rents to spend the extra money to get a JDM front clip because there retarded. But the engines arent coming with Radiators or intercoolers. Theres a difference between the NA and TT radiator right? and intercoolers if i have to for the time being i can pull from a junkyard.

There is a difference between a TT and N/A radiator. There also a difference between the radiators on a car with an auto tranny and a manual tranny. I recently replaced my stock radiator with a larger capacity Z1 radiator. If you have a 5 speed and need a TT radiator. I have 1. You can have it for cheap. Intercoolers from a junkyard will work fine. Find out why the car would up in the junkyard. If it was a front-end collision, then move on to the next salvage yard.

I think I may be a bit confused though. Since Mom and Dad don't want to fork out the $, what are yout rying to do now?

Im interested in the radiator you have....hit me up at phsdrummer_2@hotmail.com and we can talk about that.

Im just extending out to all my resources to try and get this thing running now.

if you just do the engine your gonna find out real quick its gonna cost you more to put in a TT engine. Check out Rizz's link page, and he has a link to guy that swapped over to TT, and your gonna find out theres a whole lot more to it if you dont have a front clip. Trust me, convince your parents to fork out the extra cash, seriously. Cause there is gonna be mad ruckus when your parents find out that you need this, this, this, and this, and oh yeah dont forget about this. Cause that's what its gonna be like.

There's been plenty of threads like this on this forum and others. Your parents can read right? Show them.

I bet that it will cost you approximately double to do it the way M&D want you to, if you factor in the extra time you will be spending to piece it all together. Something that you could to in several weeks will wind up being something that you'll have it done in 2006, if you're lucky. That radiator isn't going anywhere, so when/if you get to that point, let me know.
