Super Hicas System

Super Hicas System
So what are your thoughts on the Super Hicas (High Capacity Actively Controlled Suspension) System.
I was watching an old Top Gear of the Toyota Supra and they mentioned Toyota didn't bother with any gimmicks like rear wheel steering and such. I first heard about it in the Porsche 928, initially I was surprised Nissan would bother, but maybe they were gearing the 300 for their luxury touring flagship.
Just curious, so is it a gimmick? An added performance benefit like the adjustable suspension? Or just something to eliminate when upgrading your 300zx?
Well, really I'm just tired of reading about putting 350 chevy's into a 300 so anything will do right now...

I like it. It's become a scapegoat for people who lose control of their cars though (in reality, those people just don't know how to drive). The only reason to ever eliminate it is if you're a seasoned track driver and a) want to lose the weight b) truly feel it hinders the control of your car. On a street driven Z, it's a beautiful thing... highway lane changes and rapid, sharp direction changes are made easier.

Having never driven a car with hicas, I don't have personal experience with it, but having talked to many Z32 owners, they all seem to like it. I remember one specific quote about it I heard a few years ago "it's great when your going around a corner and you feel like the rear end is about to come out and then whoop, it just comes right back in from the hicas".
