Stereo Wire Harness Adapter
Has anyone recently installed a factory CD changer into a pre-(94) Bose Stereo?
I purchased an OEM CD changer for my 93 ZX. The changer fit perfectly into the dash, however ... The CD changer has an 8 prong round connector and a wire harness that should splice in line with the wire harness to the radio.
This in-line splice adapter that came with the CD changer is for post 94 radios and does not fit the 93. I would need two adapters to make this work (a 93 female to 94 male & then a 94 female to 93 male)
Does anyone know who makes these adapters? or where can I find the radio wire harness color codes for the 93 and 94 so that I can hard wire this in?
I called the vendor for the CD changer, they said that they knew exactly what I needed and shipped out what appears to be an RF frequency modulator with and 8 pin round to 5 pin round adapter. Local stereo shops, including Clarion reps, stop listening when you say the name Bose.
Any insight / advice would be appreciated. Thanks
