Starting Issues.....Rough
I have a 90 N/A that I have owned for about a month now. I notice now that it seems to be having problems when starting after sitting for several hours or longer. What it does is takes to long in my opinion to start. Cranks 7-8 maybe 10 times then when it starts (always has) it is very sluggish until it warms up. When I say sluggish I mean the engine is idling rough. I let it warm up and "act normal" before I drive it. The other problem I have is that is hesitates when it is warm. Leaving a stop sign or light it has a pause like it will stall but I let up on it and step down again and then it goes? I guess it could be several things here but does anyone have any suggestions what could be going on? Thanks for any help

Start by cleaning all your connections>
Pay particular attention to you TPS, MAF, PTU, and CAS. If you dont know what or where these things are then respond back and I'll describe each in turn. Once thoroughly cleaned, put some di-electric grease (available at any auto parts store) on the connections to help prevent corrosion in the future.
Other things you can do are:
- Check your ECU for any error codes. Again, if you dont know how, just ask any I or someone else will tell you.
- Do all your standard tune up stuff. ie Check you air filter (if you got an aftermarket, you can clean and re oil it), replace fuel filter if it hasn't been, check the condition of your spark plugs.
- Clean your throttle bodies. This can make a huge difference if they are really neglected and dirty. Be careful if you get a can with one of the little plastic straws to help direct the stream. Dont let the little straw fly into the upper intake plenum..people will laugh at you when you post asking how to get it back out
That should get you started.
