hi this is my first time posting here and didnt know who else to turn to. i have a '90 z32 and just out of curiosity I yanked on the seatbelt and it didnt catch. it doesnt catch for either driver and passenger. I tried yanking 2 fast consecutive times and it only catches on the second time. but that would be useless in a crash, right? what could be the problem? or do the cars come like that.

 

Seatbelts are designed so your body moves about 6 inches forward to help displace the force of the crash and help prevent whiplash. Try pulling the seatbelts out a little and then doing it, if they don't catch replace them. Simple as that.
