Running on 5!
Running on 5!
So I'm running on 5 Cyl. now it seems. Checked all connections that could cause this (PTU, throttle positioning sensor), didn't seem to be any of them (didn't clean them though, just made sure they were pushed in good). Ran ECU codes, came up clean. Pulled coil packs (to test them) and didn't seem to be any of those (unless it's the number 6 which I can't get to without taking stuff off, which i didn't feel like doing bc it was like 10 at night). I'll start pulling plugs, and checking for spark next. After that I guess i'll start checking fuel. Any ideas on anything else it could be?
It still seems like something eletrical though. Could it possibly be timing? (just had 120k done lesst han 1 yr ago

Quote from another forum "I have a buddy with a '90 Z32 that was running on 5 cylinders (most of the time). It idled on 5 and the 6th would kick in at full throttle above 4k rpm like VTAC. Long story short after replacing numerous coil packs and such it was the ignitor."
ANy thoughts on this? Ignitor possibly?
