Questions about Nitrous
ok, don’t get the wrong ideas and try to rip on this idea I have schemed up here, but, does anyone have any input as to whether a "wet" n02 sys is particularly dangerous for an automatic tranny? I've been looking at both JWT's kit w/ their module and ECU, and also a kit summit racing sells that is specifically for the 300z that works for both n/a and TT.
I know it shouldn’t be too disastrous to the motor since the summit one is a wet system and the JWT kit has the nitrous stage on the ECU and module to control it correctly (although it is still a dry system). I guess the damage it would cause to my tranny is my main concern, I just got the tranny rebuilt no more then 3,000 miles ago.
Also seeing as how neither place advertises the price of these systems, if anyone knows how much either may be it’d be nice to know. I might just have to call em both up. The summit trip wouldn’t be too hard since their PDC is here in Reno.

If your injectors arent maxed out a dry system works fine. If you also install a water/alky injection system in conjuction with your nitrous system you won't have to retard your timing and it well enhanse the spray. I use a 2 stage nitrous system, one dry and one wet. I don't want full spray all at once and have more control.
As for your transmission, put a good cooler on it and a HKS ALCII, Change your Fluid every 10,000 miles and you shouldn't have any problems.

I'm looking only for a wet system or a dry system with a n02 controller and ecu that can control the flow more accurately to make it relatively safe. I really am just considering a wet system though.
Zgringo: I think that may just work for the tranny, thanks
does anyone else have any input or experience with this sorta thing?
