Problem with clutch?

Had the car at the drag strip yesterday. I tried to shift into 4th and it grinded and wouldn't go in. I managed to coast and get it into 2nd to limp off the track. Then I tried to get it going from a stand still and it was trying to engage really low on the clutch travel and made a lot of noise. Before this all happened, it had been engaging really high. I had like a quarter inch of clutch travel after engagement and I suspect now that it may have been slipping but I'm not sure. I let it cool down for a while and when I tried again, it had improved a little. It is rough into every gear now but it works. Managed to get it home and now I'm trying to find out what needs to be fixed. On the way back, it would occasionally go into a random gear extremely easily, like easier than with a car that isn't messed up but for the most part, very hard. I'm gonna go play with the clutch adjustment on the pedal and see if it might have slipped or something. Anybody have some idea of what is broken and how to fix it? Clutch isn't a big deal but I really hope I didn't destroy my transmission or something. Thanks.

Check your clutch fluid level?

I checked it at the slave cylinder. Seemed alright other than being pretty dirty. Is there anywhere else I can check it?

Here's what the problem ended up being. Figured I'd follow up in case anybody happened upon this thread. I think I ripped it off the rivets at launch and it took until 4th at the other end of the drag strip to start being a problem. I can smell like tasty burnt clutch just looking at it
